Today, we’re excited to spotlight Matt, Piedmont HealthCare’s Lead Histotech!
Matt plays a vital role behind the scenes, preparing 60 to 80 slides every day — about 350 slides each week! These slides are carefully reviewed by an external Pathology team to help physicians diagnose and treat patients.
When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Matt shared that he loves the independence of his work and how his lab feels like his own world. He also offered a powerful insight — he feels like the “doctor’s doctor”, knowing that physicians rely on the accuracy and quality of his slides to care for patients.
