After 35 years of dedicated service in neurology, Dr. Catherine Weymann, MD has has announced her retirement from Piedmont HealthCare Lake Norman Neurology of Hickory. Dr. Weymann joined Piedmont HealthCare in early January of 2020, opening an office in Hickory that brought her expertise and compassionate approach to patient care.
Her time at PHC caps a career of 35 years of practice of Neurology and Neuroimaging in North Carolina. Highlights of her career include serving on the board of the American Society of Neuroimaging and serving on the Neuroimaging exam committee of the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties, designing exams for neurologists seeking a subspecialty board certification in Neuroimaging.
Throughout her time at PHC, Dr. Weymann has been a valued member of the neurology team, providing expert care in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions. Her commitment to her patients and her contributions to the practice have made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the community.
“It has been my privilege and pleasure to serve the neurological needs of the residents of the Catawba county area for the past 15 years,” Dr. Weymann said. “While I will miss the special relationship I had with my patients, I look forward to the next chapter in my life”.
Dr. Weymann plans to devote time to her family and her many interests including musical performance, textile arts, travel and baking.
As Dr. Weymann transitions into retirement, PHC Lake Norman Neurology of Hickory remains dedicated to providing high-quality neurological care. Patients will continue to have access to an experienced team of specialists in Hickory offering comprehensive neurological services.
